Genesis Nursery has been conceived as an extension to the already established and very successful Pointers School in Blackheath. Pointers was founded in 1950 by Muriel and Della Pointer as a Christian Nursery, Pre-Prep and Preparatory school for boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 11 years of age.

Genesis Nursery, working with the same Christian framework as Pointers School, is a response to the demand for a very high standard of care for the very young. It caters for the needs of children from the ages of 3 months to their 4th birthday. Parents who are thus looking for care that will go a long way beyond the norm will not be disappointed by Genesis Nursery. Imaginative and clever use of lighting, carpets, furniture and indoor play equipment create an instant impression of serenity, order and design.

Genesis is open from 8.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m, Monday to Friday. The Nursery is closed on bank holidays, for Christmas Eve to New Year's Day and for five staff training days during the first half of August.

All parents will be pleased to know that a superb cook will provide food cooked and prepared on the premises using only ‘organic’ meat, dairy (including milk), fruit, vegetables and bread. It is our belief that quality and purity of what a child eats will directly influence not only his physical growth but also his cognitive and emotional development. We have chosen the organic way.

Furthermore, we have tried hard to make Genesis Nursery almost entirely chemical free. In practice this will mean only non-chemical ‘organic’ cleaning agents are used in the premises and all laundry will be washed using bio-friendly detergents.
